Swing by the 8th Annual Chili Cook-Off, sponsored by Shiner, for good times, good eats and good music at the well-loved Jo’s Coffee Shop. Proceeds will benefit the Sustainable Food Center, a local Austin charity dedicated to improving access to nutritious, affordable food.
Chili tasting starts at noon, with live music provided by Jeff Hughes & Chapparal, the Jo’s House Band and DJ Ben Nuhn. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. for 1st and 2nd Place Chili, People’s Choice Award and Best Showmanship. Prizes are as follows:

First place – 1 night at the Hotel San Jose, Shiner Yeti cooler, case of Shiner, trophy

Another Shiner Yeti cooler will be raffled off as a door prize.
The 14 Cook-Off participants will include Ranch 616, La Condesa, Foreign & Domestic, Bubblin’ Red, Grateful Red and Buckeye on the Bayou (among others).
The cost to attend is $20 and includes tastings of all 14 entries. Cold beer and other beverages will be available for sale.
