In May this year I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review one of our local The Meat House locations and host a giveaway as well so one of my amazing readers could check The Meat House out on their own!  You can read the review here. It was a wonderful experience, that when I was contacted by The Meat House about the holidays I jumped at the opportunity!

The Meat House currently has store locations in 10 states – California, Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas- with additional locations opening throughout 2012-2013. You can check and see if there is a location near you here.

I received a free range organic turkey for Thanksgiving dinner from The Meat House. It was a little over 14 lbs and was beautiful! All I had to do was call The Meat House and talk to the butcher, I told him what I wanted and it was a done deal! The people at The Meat House are amazing! They are willing to answer any questions you have and take the time to explain every thing in detail if you need.

But, The Meat House has more to offer than turkeys for your Holiday meals, oh no! They have so many options.

• Turkey
• Brisket
• Roast – Bone in, Bone Out, Prime Rib or Top Choice
• Turducken
• Ham
• Lamb
• Duck
• Goose
• Rack of Lamb
• Seafood

In addition to the above items they also find what you need. At the location I talked to they had Alligator, Emu, Deer and Kangaroo. As long as it is legal, they will find a way to get you the meat you are looking for. If you are looking for something special please call ahead of time so that you know what they have in stock and if what you are looking for is not in the store they will have time to get it for you.

They also have a wide array of sides available that are made in house and deserts from local businesses. From the Austin Avery Ranch location you will find the following desert options.

• Cakes from Cake Plate
• Cake Balls from Holy Cacao
• Bundt Cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes
• Baklava and cookies from Hotmamas Caffe
• Pies from Texas Pie Company

I highly recommend everyone go out a visit your local The Meat House and see what your location has to offer. You don’t know what you are missing out on. I love the selection, the staff and also that they support other local businesses!
